Saving Her Broke Me Chapter 99: Afterglow

I didn’t know sex could be like that. –Liana

I woke up to sunlight and a body that didn’t feel like mine.

Everything ached.

Not in a painful way.

More like… used. Thoroughly. Intimately. Repeatedly.

I blinked at the ceiling, brain slow to reboot.

And then it hit me.

The night before.

The way Elias kissed me like he was starving.

The way I let go.

The way—

My cheeks went up in flames.

I shifted slightly and immediately winced. My legs felt like wet noodles, and something deep inside me throbbed with every breath.

Oh god.

What… even happened?

I remembered him moving. Harder. Deeper. The pressure building. My body shaking.

Then—nothing.

Dark.

I sat up too fast, yelped, and immediately flopped back down with a hiss.

“No…” I whispered, hugging the blanket tighter. “He’s gonna think I’m fragile or something.”

Before I could spiral further, the door creaked open.

Elias

I stepped in with the breakfast tray and saw her face.

Wide eyes.

Panic.

Definitely trying to disappear under the covers.

I held back a laugh. Barely.

“Morning,” I said softly, walking over. “Still alive?”

She groaned into the blanket. “Debatable.”

I set the tray on the nightstand and sat beside her, watching as she slowly peeked out.

She looked adorable.

Hair a mess. Cheeks flushed. Wrapped up like a burrito.

But under that?

Wrecked.

I swallowed, rubbing the back of my neck. “I, uh… think I broke you last night.”

She blinked. “Wait—what?”

I smiled sheepishly. “You kinda… passed out.”

Her jaw dropped. “I what?”

“You were coming so hard and then suddenly… Out cold.”

She stared at me like I’d just told her she barked in her sleep.

“Oh my god,” she whispered, dragging the blanket over her face again. “I died. I literally died.”

“You didn’t die.” I leaned down, kissed her temple. “But it was kind of terrifying.”

She peeked out again, mortified. “You didn’t… panic?”

“I thought about calling Alex,” I said with a smirk.

She smacked my arm. “You’re not funny.”

“You’re still in bed. So I’m guessing you don’t hate what happened.”

She groaned. “That’s not the point. I passed out. Who does that?”

I brushed hair from her face. “You do. Apparently. When overstimulated.”

She buried her face in her hands. “Kill me.”

“Mm. Maybe later. After breakfast.”

Liana

I let him feed me half a slice of toast before I finally gathered the courage to ask—

“…Was I weird?”

He looked at me like I was insane.

“You were perfect.”

“But I—”

“You let go.” He leaned in, voice soft. “You trusted me with everything. That’s not weird. That’s beautiful.”

I bit my lip, eyes stinging a little.

“You’re too nice to me.”

He kissed my forehead. “No. I’m just the first one who knows how to love you right.”

I wanted to cry.

Or maybe do him again.

Except my thighs said: No, thank you.

Elias

She looked at me while chewing. slowly, suspiciously.

“You’re staying home today, right?”

“Yep.”

She narrowed her eyes. “Because I passed out?”

“Partially. Mostly because I want to keep looking at you like this.”

“Like what?”

“Like a girl who got wrecked and still blushes about it twelve hours later.”

She tried to punch me again.

Missed.

Too sore.

I laughed and pulled her into a hug.

“Go ahead and rest today,” I whispered against her hair. “But tomorrow, I’m making you come until you pass out again.”

She gasped.

Then whispered “…Maybe.”
